The motor has exceeded its thermal overload limit (I²t model), caused by excessive continuous current or frequent/prolonged acceleration cycles. This indicates the motor is either undersized for the application, or the drive parameters are not correctly configured. Continued operation under overload conditions will severely damage the motor windings.

• Motor is undersized for the application, causing it to run at excessive continuous current.
• Frequent or prolonged acceleration cycles without sufficient cooling time.
• Incorrect motor thermal model parameters (e.g., P1-60, P1-61) set in the drive.
• Blocked motor cooling fins or failed external motor cooling fan (if equipped).
• High ambient temperature around the motor exceeding its design limits.
