Drive: Motor temperature sensor fault
Siemens · SINAMICS G120C Variable Speed Drive
Was bedeutet F07016 ?
An error has been detected in the evaluation of the motor temperature sensor configured in p0601. This could be due to a wire breakage, the sensor being disconnected (e.g., KTY resistance > 2120 Ohm), or the measured resistance being too low (e.g., PTC resistance < 20 Ohm, KTY resistance < 50 Ohm). The fault causes an OFF1 reaction and prevents proper motor temperature monitoring, risking motor damage from overheating if not resolved.
Häufige Ursachen
- Open circuit in the motor temperature sensor wiring (e.g., broken wire, loose terminal connection at motor or drive).
- Motor temperature sensor itself has failed, resulting in an out-of-range resistance value (e.g., KTY resistance > 2120 Ohm).
- Incorrect sensor type selected in parameter P0601, not matching the physical motor temperature sensor installed.
- Electrical noise or interference on the sensor signal lines due to improper shielding or routing adjacent to power cables.

Klicken Sie auf Schritte, um Ihren Fortschritt zu verfolgen.
- 1
Disconnect motor temperature sensor wires from the drive terminals (e.g., X12.1/X12.2) and measure resistance across them using a multimeter.
- 2
Verify the sensor type selected in parameter P0601 matches the installed motor temperature sensor (e.g., KTY84, PT1000).
- 3
Inspect the sensor cabling for physical damage, shorts to ground, or breaks from the motor terminal box to the drive's input.
- 4
Check all terminal connections for tightness at both the motor terminal box and the drive's sensor input terminals (e.g., X12).
- 5
Measure voltage on the sensor input terminals (e.g., X12) using an oscilloscope to detect possible noise or interference.
