External Fault (Terminal S6)

This fault indicates that an external device triggered a fault via the Multi-Function Digital Input (MFDI) terminal S6, or there is incorrect wiring to S6, or the terminal is incorrectly configured for an external fault despite not being in use. This causes the drive to halt operation based on an external signal, potentially stopping connected machinery.

• A critical interlock or safety gate switch connected to terminal S6 has been opened or tripped.
• Poor contact quality within the terminal block itself or due to overtightened/undertightened screws at S6.
• Configuration of drive parameter P2-06 (or equivalent) for S6 is incorrect, potentially misinterpreting the input state.
• Failure of the internal contacts within the external device connected to S6.
• Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues within the panel, causing interference on the S6 input.
