• Electrical noise or power fluctuations (voltage dips or spikes) during a parameter write operation to the EEPROM.
• Failure of the EEPROM memory chip itself, preventing data from being reliably written or stored.
• Attempting to write an invalid parameter value or a parameter out of its allowed range, causing a write protection error.
• Firmware bug causing an internal error during the EEPROM write routine, possibly due to a corrupted firmware image.
• Exceeding the maximum number of write cycles for the EEPROM, leading to wear-out over long periods of frequent parameter changes.
