ABB · AC500-S Safety Controller
This code indicates either an issue with a parameter value (potentially in the master or configuration) or that the Safety PLC cannot read its configuration data. Both scenarios prevent the PLC from operating correctly, potentially due to incorrect settings or data corruption.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Connect to the Safety PLC via engineering software and attempt to perform an "upload from device" to retrieve the current configuration; check for any reported inconsistencies or read errors.
2. Re-download the last known good safety project configuration from the engineering workstation to the Safety PLC and any associated safety I/O modules.
3. Verify the stability of the 24VDC control power supply to the Safety PLC using a multimeter, ensuring it remains within the specified voltage range (e.g., 21.6VDC to 26.4VDC).
4. Replace the memory card (if removable) in the Safety PLC with a new one, then re-download the boot project and the complete safety application.
5. If the error persists after re-downloading and verifying power supply, consider replacing the Safety PLC CPU module.
