ABB · ACS560 Standard Control Program Firmware
A failure has occurred in the current transformer within the output current measurement circuit. This means the drive cannot accurately monitor motor current, which is critical for protection and control, potentially leading to motor or drive damage if operation continues without proper current feedback.
Click steps to track your progress.
De-energize the drive and visually inspect the current transformers for signs of physical damage (e.g., cracks, burnt insulation).
Check all wiring connections from the current transformers to the drive's control board for looseness, corrosion, or breaks.
Verify the drive's output phase currents are balanced (e.g., measure L1, L2, L3 output currents with an AC clamp meter) when a motor is connected.
Perform an insulation resistance test on the motor windings and output cables to detect any phase-to-ground faults which could stress CTs.
Confirm that motor rated current (P03-03) and motor nominal voltage (P03-02) parameters are accurately configured according to the motor nameplate.
