The required phase search process, essential for controlling 'encoder only' type motors, did not complete successfully. This indicates an issue with the motor's initial setup or feedback configuration. The motor cannot be properly controlled until this is resolved, potentially leading to incorrect or no motor movement.
Click steps to track your progress.
Verify motor power cable connections at the drive output terminals (U, V, W) and motor terminal box are correct according to the motor's nameplate and drive manual.
Check all encoder feedback cable connections at both the drive (e.g., X3, X4) and motor ends for secure seating and correct pin assignments.
Ensure the motor shaft is free to rotate without external mechanical load or excessive friction during the phase search (e.g., disconnect mechanical coupling if possible).
Review and confirm that motor parameters P0-01 (Rated current), P0-02 (Rated voltage), and P0-03 (Rated frequency) accurately match the motor's nameplate data.
Attempt to re-run the phase search function from the drive's HMI or software (e.g., using a specific commissioning wizard or command).
If the motor is equipped with an electric brake, ensure the brake is released or parameter P3-24 (Brake control) is configured correctly for the search operation.
