10030

PDO data is not present (CN to MN)

ABB · Application Error ABB Motion Drives Error trouble shoo

What does 10030 mean?

Process Data Object (PDO) data from the remote axis (CN) to the manager (MN) has been lost. This error occurs if the manager detects that at least two consecutive PDO packets have not been received correctly. On a NextMove e100, this may happen if a drive disappears from the network.

Common Causes

  • Loss of two or more consecutive PDO packets between the remote axis (CN) and the manager (MN).
  • A drive (remote axis) unexpectedly resetting or powering off from the network.
  • Compromised integrity of the Ethernet (EPL) cabling, leading to data loss.
  • Network configuration issues preventing reliable PDO communication.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the status of the remote drive(s) (CN) to ensure they are powered, operational, and not unexpectedly resetting.

  2. 2

Inspect the integrity of the Ethernet (EPL) cabling between the remote axis and the manager for damage, loose connections, or improper shielding.

  3. 3

Verify network configurations, including node IDs and data mappings, for all devices on the Real-Time Ethernet (RTE) network.

  4. 4

If the disappearing node is optional, ensure the Mint program handles this error gracefully via the ONERROR event.
