Drive Overload
Allen-Bradley · PowerFlex 700
What does 64 mean?
The drive's output current rating of 110% for 1 minute or 150% for 3 seconds has been exceeded. This indicates the drive is being asked to supply more current than its continuous or short-term rating, risking thermal damage to the drive's power section.
Common Causes
- Motor current exceeding rated capacity for an extended period.
- Overload protection threshold (e.g., P1-03) set too low.
- Excessive torque demand for the motor size.
- High ambient temperature affecting heatsink performance.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
