Torq Prove Cflct

Allen-Bradley · PowerFlex 750

What does 27 mean?

This Alarm 2 indicates that the TorqProve feature (P1100) is enabled, but critical feedback parameters (P35, P125, P135) are improperly configured or incompatible with the requirements for TorqProve. It also doesn't function with open loop, simulation feedback, PM FV mode, or certain encoder types. The drive cannot start until these configuration errors are corrected, as they compromise the safety and functionality of the TorqProve feature.

Common Causes

  • P1100 (Torque Prove Mode) is enabled (e.g., set to '1' or '2'), but P35 (Speed Feedback Select) is configured incorrectly.
  • Incompatible torque feedback device selected for TorqProve operation (e.g., P135 [Torque Fdbk Sel] is incorrect).
  • Torque feedback scaling (e.g., P136 [Torq Fdbk Scale]) is misconfigured, leading to invalid torque readings.
  • Motor parameters (e.g., P2-01, P2-02, P2-03) are not accurately entered for proper torque calculation.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Set P1100 (Torque Prove Mode) to '0' (Disabled) temporarily to clear the alarm and allow parameter adjustment.

  2. 2

    2. Verify and correctly configure P35 (Speed Feedback Select) to match the actual speed feedback source (e.g., '1' for Encoder 1 or '0' for Sensorless).

  3. 3

    3. Verify and correctly configure P125 (Torque Ref Sel) and P135 (Torque Fdbk Sel) according to the TorqProve application requirements.

  4. 4

    4. Confirm that all motor nameplate parameters (P2-01 to P2-05) are accurately entered into the drive's parameters.

  5. 5

    5. Re-enable P1100 (Torque Prove Mode) and perform a test run with the motor to confirm alarm clearance.
