Allen-Bradley · PowerFlex 4 Adjustable Frequency
This fault signals that the AC line voltage or the DC bus voltage has exceeded its maximum permissible level. High line voltage, transient conditions, or motor regeneration (motor acting as a generator during deceleration) are common causes. Overvoltage can damage drive components.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure the incoming AC line voltage at the drive input terminals (L1, L2, L3) to verify it is within the drive's rated input voltage range.
Measure the DC bus voltage at terminals +UDC/-UDC to confirm it is within acceptable limits.
If the fault occurs during deceleration, increase parameter P040 [Decel Time1] or A068 [Decel Time2] to extend the motor deceleration time.
Consider installing a dynamic brake option (resistor and chopper) if persistent regeneration is the root cause.
