3 pulses (arg 0)
K-bus Command Error
Beckhoff · CX2100-0914 Embedded PC
What does 3 pulses (arg 0) mean?
The K-bus ERR LED flashes 3 times, with '0' in the argument sequence, indicating a K-bus command error. This usually means either no Bus Terminal is inserted in the bus segment or one of the connected Bus Terminals is defective.
Common Causes
- Invalid command received over the K-bus.
- Command sequence error.
- Corrupted command data packet.
- External device sending malformed commands.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify that all required Bus Terminals are physically inserted and correctly seated in their slots.
- 2
To localize a defective Bus Terminal, systematically reduce the number of attached terminals (e.g., using a binary search method) and check if the error persists. Repeat until the faulty Bus Terminal is found and replace it.
