Danfoss · VLT 2800 Variable Speed Drive
This fault indicates an internal problem with the drive's switch mode power supply, which is responsible for internal voltage regulation. This is an internal hardware failure within the drive itself.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Power cycle the drive by completely removing all input power (L1, L2, L3 and control power) for at least 5 minutes to allow internal capacitors to discharge.
2. Measure the incoming AC line voltage (phase-to-phase) at terminals R, S, T to ensure it is stable and within the drive's rated input range.
3. Visually inspect the drive's control board and power supply section for any signs of burnt components, bulging capacitors, or discolored areas.
4. Verify that the ambient temperature around the drive is within the manufacturer's specified operating range (e.g., 0-40°C) to rule out overheating.
5. If the fault persists after power cycling and external checks, the drive likely requires replacement or professional repair by a certified technician.
6. Check for any active warning messages on the control panel (if accessible) that might provide more specific diagnostic information related to internal power.
