Danfoss · VLT 2800 Variable Speed Drive
This alarm signals a fault in the Random Access Memory (RAM) on the control card. RAM is essential for temporary data storage during drive operation, and an error can lead to system instability, incorrect calculations, or a complete operational failure. This indicates a hardware defect on the control card.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Perform a complete power cycle (OFF for 60 seconds) to clear any transient RAM errors.
2. Verify the ambient temperature around the drive and control card does not exceed the specified operating limits (e.g., 40°C).
3. Check the internal auxiliary power supply voltages (e.g., 5VDC or 3.3VDC) for ripple or instability with an oscilloscope.
4. Replace the control card if the RAM fault persists after power cycling and environmental checks.
