Danfoss · VLT 2800 Variable Speed Drive
The drive is unable to perform Automatic Motor Tuning (AMT) on the connected motor. This indicates a fundamental incompatibility between the motor type and the AMT function, or that the motor parameters are so far off that the tuning cannot proceed. The drive cannot establish proper control without successful tuning.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Verify that the motor type parameter (e.g., P3-15 Motor type) is correctly set for the connected motor (e.g., Asynchronous Induction Motor).
2. Ensure all motor nameplate data (P3-01 to P3-10) is accurately entered and corresponds to a standard industrial motor.
3. If using a specialty or non-standard motor, refer to the drive manual for alternative tuning methods (e.g., manual parameter entry) or compatibility notes.
4. Consult the motor's data sheet to confirm it is compatible with standard V/Hz or vector control algorithms typically used for AMT.
5. If manual parameter entry is required, verify parameters for stator resistance, leakage inductance, and magnetizing inductance.
