Danfoss · VLT Micro Drive FC 51
The drive has been subjected to a load exceeding 100% of its rated capacity for an extended period. This indicates that the motor or the application demands more power than the drive can safely provide without risking thermal damage to its power components.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure the actual current draw from the motor during operation using a clamp meter on one output phase (U, V, or W) and compare to motor nameplate.
Verify all motor nameplate data (P1-04, P1-05, P1-06) entered into the drive's parameters is accurate.
Check for mechanical binding, worn bearings, or excessive friction in the driven equipment causing increased motor load.
Confirm the drive's continuous current rating is appropriate for the application's maximum continuous load.
Increase acceleration/deceleration ramp times (P1-02, P1-03) to reduce peak currents during transients if the application allows.
