Servo Position Error (Stop State)

Fanuc · Alpha i series AC Servo Motor

What does 410 mean?

The servo position error in the stopped state is larger than the value specified in parameter No.110. This indicates that the motor is not holding its commanded position accurately while stationary, possibly due to mechanical backlash or insufficient holding torque.

Common Causes

  • Mechanical cause of large position error, such as backlash, loose coupling, or external force.
  • Parameter No.110 (position error limit in stop state) is set too low for the application.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Inspect the mechanical system for any sources of position error (e.g., backlash, loose components, external forces).

  2. 2

If no mechanical cause is found, increase the value of parameter No.110 to a suitable limit.
