APC ALARM: OVER TIME ERROR

Fanuc · Alpha i Series Servo Amplifier

What does SV0302 mean?

The absolute-position detector caused an overtime error during data transfer, meaning the correct machine position could not be obtained. This fault suggests a defect in the absolute-position detector, its cable, or the servo interface module.

Common Causes

  • Slow response from the APC encoder during position updates.
  • Communication link is experiencing high latency or delays.
  • Overload on the APC processing unit.
  • Incorrect timing parameters set in CNC.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check for excessive system load on the CNC control.

  2. 2

Measure communication line resistance and capacitance.
