APC ALARM: OVER FLOW ERROR

Fanuc · Alpha i Series Servo Amplifier

What does SV0306 mean?

The amount of positional deviation overflowed, making it impossible to obtain the correct machine position. This indicates an issue with position monitoring.

Common Causes

  • Large deviation between commanded and actual position.
  • Encoder resolution is insufficient for the commanded movement.
  • Mechanical backlash in the drive system exceeding limits.
  • CNC's internal position accumulator has overflowed.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure actual positional feedback from APC and compare to commanded position.

  2. 2

Inspect drive train for excessive backlash.
