ILLEGAL AXIS DATA (SV)

What does SV0478 mean?

The servo detected an error during axis data transfer. This can occur after setting axis numbers for the servo amplifier, indicating a configuration mismatch, or it might point to an internal amplifier issue requiring replacement.

Common Causes

  • Invalid or corrupt axis configuration data in the servo controller.
  • Incorrect motor tuning parameters or encoder resolution settings.
  • Parameter P1-78 (axis type) set incorrectly.
  • Data mismatch between the master controller and servo drive.

    If the alarm occurred after performing axis number setting for the servo amplifier, set parameter No.2212#4 to 1.

    Reset parameter No.2212#4 to 0.

  3. 3

    Turn off the power to the entire system.

  4. 4

    If the alarm occurred for any other reason or persists after parameter adjustment, replace the servo amplifier.
