SP0132

Serial Data Error

Fanuc · Macro B CNC Programming

What does SP0132 mean?

Communication between the spindle sensor and the spindle amplifier is not performed. This indicates a problem in the data transmission/reception path between these components, preventing normal operation and potentially leading to unexpected machine behavior.

Common Causes

  • Discharge current exceeds the allowed limit.
  • External load demanding too much current.
  • Short circuit in the output stage or load.
  • Faulty current sensing circuit.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the physical connection of the sensor cable between the spindle sensor and the spindle amplifier for proper seating.

  2. 2

Inspect the sensor cable for any signs of physical damage, kinks, or loose contacts on its connectors.

  3. 3

If the cable appears intact and securely connected, attempt to reset the alarm after ensuring the physical connection is stable.

  4. 4

If the alarm persists, replacement of the spindle sensor or the spindle amplifier may be necessary, as a component might be faulty (refer to page 13 for general component replacement advice).
