3005
Invalid Machining Start Point
Fanuc · Series 0i Manual Guide
What does 3005 mean?
This P/S alarm indicates that the machining start point defined in the program is invalid. This could be due to a coordinate outside the work envelope, an unreachable point, or a point that interferes with existing geometry, preventing the machining cycle from initiating correctly.
Common Causes
- The programmed starting coordinates for machining are outside valid ranges.
- Initial tool position is obstructed or in an unsafe location.
- Invalid G-code command for initiating a machining operation.
- Error in setting up the absolute or incremental positioning system (e.g., P2-02).
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Modify the machining program to specify a valid and reachable machining start point.
- 2
Alternatively, modify the machining program to enable automatic determination of the start point by the control system.
