What does 3003 mean?

This P/S alarm indicates that there is no area available for machining. The root cause is that the tool specified in the machining program is excessively large for the designated machining area, preventing the operation from starting or completing correctly.

Common Causes

  • Selected tool extends beyond the defined machining area limits.
  • Tool length compensation (e.g., P10-01) is too large.
  • Fixture or workpiece obstruction within the machining envelope.
  • Programmed tool path exceeds physical machine travel (e.g., P1-05).
