Faulty Temperature Sensor

Fronius · Perfect Charging

What does 301 mean?

The temperature sensor itself is detected as faulty. This means the sensor is either providing inaccurate temperature readings, no readings at all, or reporting values outside its operational range, compromising proper temperature monitoring.

Common Causes

  • An internal failure of the temperature sensor component.
  • Degradation of the sensor over time or due to exposure to harsh environmental factors.
  • Physical damage to the sensor probe or its internal components.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor across its terminals and compare it with expected values for the ambient temperature.

  2. 2

Compare the sensor's reading with an independent, calibrated reference thermometer to assess its accuracy.

  3. 3

Replace the temperature sensor if it is confirmed to be faulty after these checks.
