ArcContinuousFault

Fronius · Primo GEN24 Operating Instructions

What does 240 mean?

An arc has been detected within the PV system, and the maximum number of automatic switch-ons within a 24-hour period has been reached. This indicates a persistent arcing fault, and the inverter will disconnect from the grid for safety reasons, displaying the code for approximately 4 seconds.

Common Causes

  • Continuous arcing fault in the photovoltaic system cabling or components.
  • Damaged PV system components, such as wiring, connectors, or module junction boxes, leading to persistent arcs.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Before confirming the status, thoroughly check the entire photovoltaic system for possible damage to wiring, connectors, and modules.

  2. 2

Engage qualified personnel to repair any damaged components detected in the PV system.

  3. 3

Do not reset the inverter until the source of the arc fault has been identified and safely rectified.
