What does 231-A097 mean?
This error indicates that a spindle drive was locked. This occurs when an attempt was made to switch on a spindle drive while the guard door was open, AND a Stop 2 (SS2) reaction was active for the spindle, or due to an internal software error.
Common Causes
- Attempt to switch on a spindle drive while the guard door was open and a Stop 2 (SS2) reaction was active for the spindle.
- Safety function SS2 is still active or in an abnormal state for the spindle.
- Internal software error.
