2012

String current backfeed

Huawei · SUN2000-(3KTL-10KTL)-M1 Solar Inverter

What does 2012 mean?

The number of PV modules connected in series to the PV string is insufficient, resulting in a lower end voltage compared to other parallel strings. This can lead to inefficient operation or potential current backfeed issues.

Common Causes

  • The number of PV modules connected in series to this PV string is less than that of the other PV strings connected in parallel.
  • The PV string is shaded.
  • The open-circuit voltage of the PV string is abnormal.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check whether the number of PV modules connected in series to this PV string is less than that of the other PV strings connected in parallel. If so, wait until the PV string current decreases to below 0.5 A, turn off the DC switch, and adjust the number of PV modules in the PV string.

  2. 2

Check whether the PV string is shaded.

  3. 3

Check whether the open-circuit voltage of the PV string is abnormal.
