Indramat · ECODRIVE Controller
When the drive controller with an absolute (multiturn) encoder is powered off, the actual feedback position is stored. Upon power-up, this stored position is compared to the position reported by the encoder. If the deviation between these two values is larger than the value parameterized in P-0-0097, AbsoluteEncoderMonitoring Window, this error is generated. This can indicate movement during power-off, an initialization issue, or an encoder defect.
Click steps to track your progress.
If it is the first power-on, press S1 to reset the error and set the absolute position as per the commissioning instructions.
Verify that the motor has not been mechanically moved significantly while the drive was powered off. If it was moved, check if the displayed position is correct relative to the machine's zero point.
Review and correctly parameterize P-0-0097, AbsoluteEncoderMonitoring Window, to an appropriate value that accounts for expected small movements but detects actual errors.
If the absolute position information is consistently false or erratic, inspect the encoder wiring and connections. If issues persist, the motor/encoder assembly may be defective and require exchange.
