The drive has exceeded the maximum allowable braking time during a deceleration sequence. This means the motor or load took too long to come to a stop or reduce its speed, often indicating an issue with the braking system or excessive inertia.
Click steps to track your progress.
Check the mechanical brakes (if present) for proper function and wear, ensuring they provide adequate braking torque.
Verify the drive's deceleration ramp parameters (e.g., S-0-0078 Ramp Time Neg) are set appropriately for the application's inertia.
Ensure the braking resistor is correctly sized and connected, and its chopper circuit within the drive is functioning.
Inspect the mechanical system for any binding or high friction that would prolong deceleration.
If applicable, verify that there are no external forces or continuous regenerative loads hindering deceleration.
