F6043

Positive travel range limit switch activated

Indramat · Indradrive

What does F6043 mean?

The hardware limit switch for the positive travel range has been activated, indicating that the axis has reached or exceeded its positive mechanical limit. This causes the drive to stop further movement in the positive direction to prevent damage.

Common Causes

  • Mechanical overrun of the axis beyond the positive limit switch.
  • Limit switch stuck in the activated position.
  • Incorrect wiring of the limit switch or faulty input.
  • Control program error commanding movement into the positive limit.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify that the axis has not mechanically overtraveled into the positive limit switch. If so, manually move it off the switch.

  2. 2

Check the positive limit switch for physical damage or if it is stuck in the activated position.

  3. 3

Inspect the wiring of the positive limit switch to the IndraDrive input for loose connections or damage.

  4. 4

Review the drive's input status for the positive limit switch to confirm its signal is accurate.

  5. 5

Adjust the motion profile or software travel limits to prevent activation of the hardware limit switch during normal operation.
