E219

Warning Drive temp. surveillance defective

Indramat · CLM01.3-M Flying Cutoff Control

What does E219 mean?

Temperature monitoring checks if the drive controller temperature is within reasonable bounds. If the measured temperature is lower than -10 °C, the measuring unit is assumed to be defective. This warning appears for 30 seconds, after which the drive stops according to the error response, and F220 Bleeder overload shutdown will be generated.

Common Causes

  • Broken cable in the drive controller.
  • Defective temperature sensor within the drive controller.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the temperature displayed for the Indramat DIAX04 SSE-03VRS drive controller (if available via HMI/parameters) is plausible and not stuck at -10°C or lower.

  2. 2

Inspect wiring connected to the drive controller's internal temperature sensor, if externally accessible, for breaks or loose connections.

  3. 3

If wiring is intact and sensor plausibility is still an issue, consider that the internal temperature sensor itself or its associated circuitry within the Indramat DIAX04 SSE-03VRS drive controller is defective.

  4. 4

Prepare for drive controller replacement if an internal component failure is suspected and external checks are inconclusive.
