Velocity command value > limit value
Indramat · IndraDrive MPx02
What does E2063 mean?
The velocity command received by the IndraDrive MPx02 from the master controller (e.g., PLC, CNC) is currently higher than the configured maximum velocity limit. The drive may cap the velocity at this limit or signal an impending error if the commanded value is not corrected, to prevent overspeed.
Common Causes
- The master controller is commanding a velocity that exceeds the drive's configured maximum velocity (e.g., in parameter P-0-0090).
- Incorrect scaling factor or unit conversion applied to the velocity command in either the master controller or the drive.
- A different operating mode or safety function has imposed a lower maximum velocity limit that is being exceeded.
- Parameter P-0-0090 (Velocity command value limit) is set too low for the application's requirements.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Compare the commanded velocity from the master control system with the drive's maximum velocity limit, typically set in P-0-0090 (Velocity command value limit).
- 2
Adjust the velocity command generated by the master controller to stay within the drive's and application's maximum permissible velocity.
- 3
If a higher velocity is required, evaluate if the drive and motor can safely operate at that speed and then increase the velocity limit parameter in the IndraDrive MPx02.
- 4
Check for any active safety functions that might be imposing a temporary or permanent reduced velocity limit.
