FeedAngle Loss 2

Indramat · ServoDyn D Servo Drive

What does 31 mean?

This error occurs if the feed angle auxiliary input, configured in Parameter 54 (Monitoring A2), drops to a low signal state while Axis 2 is in motion. This indicates a loss of feedback critical for synchronized operation or process control.

Common Causes

  • Loss of the feed angle auxiliary input signal to the CLM01.3-M during Axis 2 movement.
  • Faulty wiring or loose connection of the feed angle auxiliary input to the CLM01.3-M.
  • Malfunctioning feed angle sensor or its signal conditioning circuitry.
  • Incorrect configuration of Parameter 54 (Monitoring A2) for the expected input signal type.
  • The press speed is too high or the part length too long for continuous operation with feed angle monitoring.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify that the feed angle auxiliary input wiring to the CLM01.3-M is properly connected and secure.

  2. 2

If the feed angle is from a continuously operating press, consider slowing the press speed or reducing the part length to maintain signal integrity.

  3. 3

Inspect the feed angle sensor for proper operation, cleanliness, and mechanical integrity.

  4. 4

Review Parameter 54 (Monitoring A2) to ensure it is configured for the correct auxiliary input and expected signal characteristics.

  5. 5

Check the cabling from the feed angle sensor to the CLM01.3-M for continuity and shielding effectiveness against noise.
