What does 68 mean?

The KONE LCE W/KDM elevator doors are prevented from closing completely, activating a safety interlock. This condition will inhibit elevator movement until the obstruction is cleared.

Common Causes

  • Physical object (e.g., debris, person, item) blocking the door path.
  • Damage to door tracks or rollers impeding smooth door operation.
  • Activation of the door safety edge or light curtain sensor.
