Over current

Kuka · KRC2 KSS System Message

What does 121 mean?

The intermediate circuit current monitoring safeguard has triggered due to an overcurrent condition. This will cause maximum braking and inhibit all active commands.

Common Causes

  • Motor current exceeding the maximum rated limit defined by parameter P1-25.
  • Excessive load on the driven equipment causing high torque demand.
  • Short circuit in the motor windings or power cabling.
  • Inadvertent command for acceleration exceeding system capabilities.

    Rectify the fault condition causing the overcurrent.

    Reset the fault by pressing the hardware acknowledgement button 'ACK' on the DSE I module.
