MR1

Alarm Space 1 Violation

Kuka · KK53Y Servo Motor

What does MR1 mean?

The MR1 signal indicates a violation of monitoring space 1. A '0' state on this signal means that monitoring space 1 is currently being infringed upon. If monitoring space 1 is intentionally inactive, the system considers it violated by default, and the associated safe output MR1 will be in the '0' state.

Common Causes

  • Alarm condition triggered in Space 1 of the monitoring system.
  • Parameter P1 has exceeded its defined alarm threshold.
  • Sensor associated with Space 1 reporting an out-of-bounds value.
  • Configuration error in Space 1 alarm limits.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Identify the configured boundaries for monitoring space 1 in the robot's programming environment (e.g., using KUKA WorkVisual).

  2. 2

Physically inspect the robot's current position and ensure no part of the manipulator, external axes, or tooling is entering or has entered the defined monitoring space 1.

  3. 3

If monitoring space 1 is intended to be inactive, verify this configuration in WorkVisual and acknowledge that the MR1 signal will default to a '0' (violated) state.
