KPS Heat Sink Overtemperature
Kuka · KR C2 Robot Controller
What does Heat sink temperature PMx mean?
An overtemperature condition has been detected on the heat sink of the KPS module (PMx). This indicates that the cabinet ventilation is not functioning correctly, leading to inadequate cooling of the KPS.
Common Causes
- Ambient temperature in the cabinet is too high.
- Insufficient cooling for the KPS heat sink (blocked vents, fan failure).
- Drive operating at peak load for extended periods.
- Oversized motor or drive operating inefficiently.
- Faulty temperature sensor on the heat sink (P6-01).
