STA2 Flashing

FPGA Node Internal Fault

Kuka · Sunrise Cabinet Med Controller

What does STA2 Flashing mean?

The STA2 Orange LED for the FPGA node is flashing at a rate other than 1 Hz (normal) or 10 Hz (boot phase), indicating an internal fault code within the FPGA node. This suggests a problem with the internal logic or operation of the FPGA, which can severely impact controller performance and stability.

Common Causes

  • Internal fault within the FPGA Node (STA2).
  • Firmware error or corruption on the FPGA.
  • Overheating of the STA2 module.
  • Hardware malfunction of the FPGA or its associated components.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the infeed power supply at connector X1.

  2. 2

Verify the status of the PWR/3.3V LED (Item 6, Page 98). If it is lit, exchange the CCU_SR module.

  3. 3

If the PWR/3.3V LED is not lit, troubleshoot the 3.3V power supply (refer to 'PWR/3.3V Off (CIB_SR)' fault code for specific steps).

  4. 4

If power supply checks pass and the LED continues to flash, exchange the CCU_SR module.
