0x7693

EPM data: PU size incompatible

Lenze · i550 Protec Drive

What does 0x7693 mean?

This fault indicates that the parameter settings stored in the memory module (EPM) are incompatible with the currently installed inverter. The incompatible data is loaded into RAM but will not function correctly.

Common Causes

  • Memory module (EPM) was programmed with parameters from an inverter of a different power size or hardware revision.
  • The EPM module itself is faulty or corrupted, leading to unreadable or incompatible data.
  • Firmware version discrepancy between the inverter and the EPM module, especially after an update, causing parameter incompatibility.
  • Incorrect insertion or poor contact of the EPM module into its slot, leading to data read errors.
  • Attempting to load parameters from an EPM that was configured for a different drive series or type.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the EPM module's part number and serial number match the specifications for the currently installed inverter model and power rating.

  2. 2

Re-insert the EPM module firmly into its slot and ensure all contacts are clean and properly seated.

  3. 3

Power cycle the inverter after re-inserting the EPM. If the fault persists, attempt to initialize parameters to factory defaults (e.g., P99.00 = 1).

  4. 4

If a known good EPM module is available for the current inverter, swap and test for resolution.

  5. 5

Check the inverter's firmware version (e.g., P96.00) and compare it against the recommended version for the EPM module. Consider updating firmware if incompatible.
