Warning invert rotation
Lenze · i550 Protec Drive
What does 25232 mean?
This warning occurs when a negative setpoint is selected with an active limitation of rotation (parameter 0x283A (P304.00)), or if the 'Reverse rotational direction' function (parameter 0x2631:013 (P400.13)) is requested while rotation limitation (parameter 0x283A (P304.00)) is active. The motor will be brought to a standstill because reversal of the rotating direction is not permissible under these conditions.
Common Causes
- A negative speed setpoint is commanded while the drive's rotational direction is explicitly limited by Parameter 0x283A (P304.00).
- The 'Reverse rotational direction' function (Parameter 0x2631:013) is active, conflicting with a commanded forward setpoint or a rotation limit.
- Inconsistent drive configuration where a unidirectional operation limit is enabled but a bidirectional speed command source is active.
- External control system (e.g., PLC) sending a negative speed command inadvertently, conflicting with drive settings.
- Incorrect value set in Parameter 0x283A (P304.00) restricting desired bidirectional motor operation.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the current speed setpoint (e.g., via HMI, fieldbus monitor) and its polarity (e.g., -100 RPM).
- 2
Examine Parameter 0x283A (P304.00) to confirm if a rotation limitation (e.g., 'Forward Only') is enabled.
- 3
Check the state of the 'Reverse rotational direction' function (Parameter 0x2631:013) to see if it is active.
- 4
Adjust the speed setpoint to be positive if unidirectional forward rotation is intended, or disable the rotation limitation in Parameter 0x283A (P304.00).
- 5
Review the PLC or master control program to ensure speed commands and direction signals are consistent with the drive's desired operation mode.
