INPUT-LKG-C1

Input Leakage Current (Contactless Switch)

Mitsubishi Electric · MELSEC iQ-R I/O Module

What does INPUT-LKG-C1 mean?

A leakage current from a contactless input switch prevents the input signal from reliably turning off. This occurs when the residual voltage across the input module terminals, caused by the leakage current, remains above the module's OFF voltage threshold, leading to an incorrect ON state.

Common Causes

  • Leakage current from a contactless input switch or other input device is too high.
  • The input module interprets the residual voltage from the leakage current as an ON signal.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Connect an appropriate resistor in parallel across the input terminals to effectively reduce the voltage below the OFF threshold. For AC inputs, consider a CR constant of 0.1 to 0.47µF + 47 to 120Ω (1/2W).
