What does 1C83H mean?

This minor error occurs when the number of control axes configured per controller exceeds the maximum allowed limit for the current SSCNET operation cycle. It indicates a configuration mismatch that prevents proper system operation.

Common Causes

  • Number of control axes per controller exceeds the maximum limit for the configured operation cycle (e.g., more than 2 axes for 0.222ms, more than 4 axes for 0.444ms)

    Set the operation cycle to 0.444ms or more if controlling 3 to 4 axes.

  2. 2

    Set the operation cycle to 0.888ms or more if controlling 5 axes or more.

  3. 3

    For SSCNETIII, verify the axis select rotary switch of the servo amplifier is set to '0 to 3' for 0.222ms operation or '0 to 7' for 0.444ms operation to ensure servo amplifiers are recognized.

  4. 4

    Ensure 'Not used' is set via DIP switch for any unused axes with MR-J5W-  B or MR-J4W-  B servo amplifiers to reduce the count.
