What does E.GF mean?

This function stops the inverter output if a ground fault overcurrent flows due to a ground fault occurring in the inverter's output side (load side). This indicates an insulation breakdown in the motor or the cable connecting the inverter to the motor.

Common Causes

  • Excessive current flowing to ground from the motor or inverter output.
  • Damaged motor insulation leading to a ground fault.
  • Short circuit between a power conductor and the unit's chassis.
  • Faulty inverter power module allowing leakage current.

    Perform an insulation resistance test (megger test) between each motor output phase (U, V, W) and the motor frame ground.

    Perform an insulation resistance test between each conductor of the connection cable and ground.
