Mitsubishi Electric · R410A Systems
The high-pressure switch (63H) on the outdoor unit has tripped due to abnormally high refrigerant pressure. Alternatively, the unit has initiated a direct cut-off, which is a critical safety shutdown often triggered by a severe fault bypassing normal controls.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure system high-side pressure using manifold gauges.
Verify condenser coil cleanliness and unrestricted airflow.
Inspect all service valves in the liquid and suction lines — verify they are fully open.
Check refrigerant charge — suspect overcharge if pressures are consistently high.
Examine the outdoor unit PCB for any specific error LEDs or indications that could point to the direct cut trigger.
