Omron · 3G3EV Inverter
This fault indicates that the inverter's radiation fin temperature has exceeded its operational limit. In a warning state (when stopped), it signifies overheating during idle conditions. If the protective mechanism is actuated, it means the overheating is severe enough to shut down the inverter during operation. This is often caused by high ambient temperatures or insufficient cooling, which can lead to reduced lifespan or damage to the inverter.
Click steps to track your progress.
Power down the inverter and use compressed air to thoroughly clean all cooling fins and the fan assembly, ensuring clear airflow paths.
Verify the cooling fan is operational by checking for airflow and audible operation when the inverter is powered on (inverter fan should run even when stopped).
Measure the ambient temperature inside the electrical enclosure and ensure it is below the inverter's maximum specified operating temperature (e.g., as per nameplate).
Check for proper ventilation in the enclosure, ensuring intake and exhaust vents are clear and filters (if present) are clean and unobstructed.
Review the inverter's installation location for adequate clearance around the unit, as specified in the manual (e.g., minimum 100mm top/bottom, 50mm sides).
