Omron · MX2 Series Type V2 Compact Inverter
This fault indicates a malfunction or error occurring in the inverter's built-in CPU during communications. This can be caused by significant electrical noise interference or an internal defect within the CPU or its communication hardware. It prevents the inverter from reliably communicating, potentially leading to erratic behavior or complete loss of control.

Power cycle the inverter by completely removing and reapplying control and main power for a minimum of 30 seconds to reset the CPU.
Verify all grounding connections for the inverter, motor, and control panel are secure and have low impedance to earth (e.g., less than 1 Ω).
Inspect routing of motor power cables, control cables, and communication cables to ensure proper separation (e.g., 300 mm minimum) and shielding effectiveness.
Measure the incoming control voltage (e.g., 24VDC) at the inverter's control terminals to confirm stability and adherence to specified limits.
If the error persists after power cycling and environmental checks, the inverter's main control board likely has an internal hardware defect and requires replacement.
