Omron · SXF Inverter
The internal temperature of the variable speed drive has exceeded its safe operating limit. This indicates insufficient cooling or excessive load, which prevents the drive from safely dissipating heat. Prolonged high temperatures will significantly reduce the lifespan of electronic components and can lead to immediate shutdown or permanent damage to the VSD's power stage.
Click steps to track your progress.
Inspect and clean cooling fan and heatsink fins thoroughly using compressed air.
Verify enclosure ventilation filters are clean and airflow is not obstructed.
Measure ambient temperature inside the electrical enclosure; ensure it is within drive's specified limits (e.g., 0-40°C).
Monitor drive output current (e.g., P0-02) and motor load (e.g., P0-03) during operation to ensure it's not consistently overloaded.
Reduce switching frequency (e.g., parameter P6-01) if possible, as higher frequencies generate more heat.
