0201

No Origin Input Signal

Omron · SYSMAC CJ Series PLC

What does 0201 mean?

This fault occurs during an origin search when the main origin input signal was not received. This prevents the system from precisely determining its home position, indicating a failure to detect the final origin marker.

Common Causes

  • Faulty wiring of the origin input signal, leading to an open circuit or poor connection.
  • Incorrect 'Origin Input Signal Type' (NC or NO) configured in PLC Setup.
  • Origin sensor failure, damage, or mispositioning, preventing proper detection.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Visually inspect the wiring connections for the origin input signal for integrity; measure continuity of the cable from sensor to input terminal.

  2. 2

Access the PLC Setup 'I/O Module Tab Page' using CX-Programmer and verify the 'Origin Input Signal Type' setting is correctly configured (NC or NO) to match the sensor's operation.

  3. 3

Test the origin input sensor operation by manually activating it and verifying the corresponding input signal status at the PLC input terminal.

  4. 4

Ensure the physical positioning of the origin input sensor allows for proper detection during an origin search.

  5. 5

Initiate an origin search again from the HMI or programming software.
