0202

Origin Input Signal Error

Omron · SYSMAC CJ Series PLC

What does 0202 mean?

This fault occurs during an origin search in operation mode 0, specifically when the origin input signal is received during the deceleration phase after the origin proximity input signal has already been detected. This indicates that the origin input signal was detected too early, before deceleration to a stop was completed.

Common Causes

  • Insufficient physical distance between the origin proximity input sensor and the origin input sensor, leading to early detection of the origin signal.
  • 'Search/Return Initial Speed (pps)' parameter is set too high (Page 54), causing the axis to reach the origin input signal before deceleration is complete.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Physically increase the separation distance between the origin proximity input signal sensor and the origin input signal sensor.

  2. 2

Adjust the 'Search/Return Initial Speed (pps)' parameter (found on Page 54 under 'Base Settings' in PLC Setup) to a lower value, allowing for a longer deceleration time before the origin input signal is reached.

  3. 3

Initiate an origin search again from the HMI or programming software to verify the adjustments.
