Omron · SYSMAC CJ Series PLC
This fault indicates one of two conditions: either the limit input signal is already active in the origin search direction when a search is attempted, or during a search without proximity input, both the Origin Input Signal and the Limit Input Signal in the opposite direction from the search were ON simultaneously. This prevents the origin search from starting or proceeding correctly due to an initial, conflicting limit condition, resulting in an emergency stop.
Click steps to track your progress.
Inspect the wiring of the limit input signal for breaks, shorts, or loose connections, ensuring correct termination.
Physically verify that the limit switch in the intended origin search direction is not activated before attempting the origin search. If active, manually move the axis to disengage it.
Access the PLC Setup 'I/O Module Tab Page' using CX-Programmer and review the 'I/O settings' and 'Limit Signal Type' (NC or NO) for accuracy against the system's electrical design.
If an origin search not using proximity input is configured, confirm that the 'Origin Input Signal' and the 'Limit Input Signal' for the *opposite* direction of search are not simultaneously active before starting the search.
Initiate an origin search again from the HMI or programming software.
